The OLINformer http://admissionblog.olin.edu A slightly different view of olin college Wed, 25 Jun 2008 19:50:43 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.0.4 en About Emily… http://admissionblog.olin.edu/about-emily/ http://admissionblog.olin.edu/about-emily/#comments Wed, 03 Oct 2007 20:28:28 +0000 Emily Moscol Uncategorized http://admissionblog.olin.edu/about-emily/ Hi! My name is Emily Moscol, and I am an Assistant Director of Admission at Olin College. Before working in Admission I worked in Campus Services for over 3 years.

I was born and raised in Boston, MA (Roslindale to be exact) and went to UMass Amherst, where I majored in Legal Studies. I was an RA at UMass, an experience that can only be described as a unique challenge. I earned my Master’s Degree in Dispute Resolution from UMass Boston. My past work experiences include several years at the Community Care Center in Jamaica Plain as an office manager in a group home for teenagers, teaching sailing lessons at Jamaica Pond every summer from high school through college, and as a tutor to young people who are either out of school due to illness or who have special learning needs. I have also had short stints working in retail at a music store (where I met my husband!), as a barista, a babysitter, a research subject, and a file clerk at a government agency. Very exciting stuff (except maybe the file clerk…that was absolutely jading)!!!

Some of the things I like to do in my spare time include working in my garden, reading (The Little Friend by Donna Tartt is my absolute favorite book), DIY home renovations (AKA adventures in plumbing and demolition), cross country skiing, shopping, going to my husband’s concerts, and spending time with my family and friends.
